Warranty

Last updated: 15 November 2025

Thank you for choosing Custom Vanity.

We take great pride in the craftsmanship of our products and are committed to ensuring you are satisfied with your purchase.

This Warranty Policy explains what is covered, what isn’t, and the responsibilities of both parties.

By placing an order with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this policy.

If you have any questions or need support at any stage, please contact us using the details provided at the bottom of this page.

1. Warranty Periods

Structural Warranty — 5 Years
We provide a five-year structural warranty from the date of purchase. This applies to hardwood, veneer, laminate, and 2 Pac products. This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that affect the functionality or stability of the product.

Timber Coating — 12 Months
From the date of purchase, we provide a 12-month warranty on the coatings applied to timber components. This covers peeling, flaking, or discolouration of the coating under normal domestic use and proper maintenance.

This warranty does not cover surface damage caused by neglect, improper cleaning, misuse, or other exclusions listed under Clause 3: Exclusions.

If issues arise outside the warranty period or inclusions, please contact us for advice on maintenance or repairs. Re-coating usually requires light sanding followed by 2–3 coats of the original finish.

Stone Tops — Manufacturer's Warranty
Stone tops supplied through Custom Vanity (e.g., Caesarstone, WK Stone, YDL) are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, which varies by brand.

Refer to the manufacturer’s website for details.

Mirrors — 12 Months
Mirrors supplied by Custom Vanity include a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty from the date of purchase.

2. Care & Maintenance

When cleaning vanities or mirrored cabinets, use only:

  • A clean microfibre cloth

  • Warm water

  • A pH-neutral soap

After cleaning, always dry any remaining moisture.

You may also wish to consider cleaning products specifically formulated for this purpose, such as:

Never use:

  • Abrasive materials (e.g., scourers or steel wool)

  • Harsh chemical cleaners

  • Products containing bleach, acids, alcohol, solvents, or ammonia

These can damage timber coatings, stone, mirrors, or laminate and 2 Pac finishes over time.

While our timber tops have been coated with clear resin and hard wax oils for enhanced protection and durability, it is important to always wipe up any spills and avoid leaving water or other bathroom products to sit and pool for prolonged periods of time.

Water or other liquids left on any treated timber for extended periods may cause damage. This type of damage would be considered improper care and is not covered by our warranty.

3. Exclusions

3.1 General Exclusions

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Improper installation, misuse, abuse, inadequate care, accidents, or alterations

  • Use of non-recommended cleaning products or abrasive materials

  • Water exposure (swelling, cracking, or damage from leaking taps, basins, plumbing issues, or water pooling)

  • Work carried out by your tradespeople on your bathroom

  • Normal wear and tear, including minor scratches, dents, or environmental colour changes

  • Natural disasters, fire, or external events

  • Commercial use (unless pre-approved in writing)

3.2 Installation Practices

We recommend installation by a licensed tradesperson after tiling is completed.

Damage resulting from tiling around the vanity or from inadequate or improper installation practices is not covered under warranty.

3.3 Moisture & Bathroom Environment Disclaimer
Bathrooms must be well-ventilated and maintained to minimise humidity and moisture buildup.

Damage caused by poor ventilation, excess moisture, excessive shower steam exposure, or insufficient sealing by trades is not covered under warranty.

3.4 Material Variations (Natural & Engineered Materials)
Variations in colour, grain, pattern, shading, and texture across natural and engineered materials—including timber, veneer, laminate, 2 Pac, and stone—are inherent characteristics and are not considered defects or covered under warranty.

Refer to our Refunds & Returns Policy for further detail.

4. Making a Warranty Claim

To lodge a warranty claim, please contact us using the details provided at the end of this document.

You will need to provide:

  • Proof of purchase

  • Photos and/or videos of the issue

  • Proof of installation by a licensed tradesperson

We may request additional information to assess your claim.

Important: We cannot approve warranty claims for products that have not been installed by a licensed tradesperson (e.g., builder, carpenter, or plumber).

5. Remedy

If a valid warranty claim is approved, we will, at our discretion:

  • Repair the product, or

  • Replace the defective part or product

Any repair or replacement under this warranty is provided at no cost for materials or labour.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts or products.

We are not liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect loss or damage.

7. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
