Warranty
Thank you for your purchase at Custom Vanity. We stand behind the quality of our products and are committed to ensuring your satisfaction. The following warranty policy applies to your purchases with us. If you have any questions about this warranty, please get in touch using the contact details provided at the bottom of this page.
1. Warranty Periods:
Structural
We guarantee the structural integrity of our vanities for a period of two years from the date of purchase. This includes hardwood, veneer, and laminate vanities. This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship that affect the functionality or stability of the vanity.
Timber Coating
From the date of purchase, we provide a two-year warranty on the coating applied to the timber components of your vanity. This warranty covers any peeling, flaking, or discolouration of the coating under normal domestic use and maintenance. It does not cover damage due to neglect, improper use, or other causes listed in Clause 4: Exclusions.
If you encounter issues with the coating outside the warranty's inclusions or period, please get in touch with us. We will advise you on how to resolve the issue. In instances where reapplication of the coating is required (e.g., after superficial damage, stains, etc.), the repair process is generally simple and involves light sanding followed by 2–3 coats of the coating.
Stone Tops
We use stone supplied by Caesarstone, WK Stone, YDL, and other brands upon request. Stone tops are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective manufacturer’s warranty. For more information, please visit the manufacturer’s website.
Mirrors
From the date of purchase, the manufacturer’s warranty for mirrors is one year.
2. Vanity Care & Maintenance:
Important: When cleaning your product, including vanities or mirrored cabinets, we recommend using a clean microfibre cloth with warm water and a pH-neutral soap only. Be sure to dry off any excess moisture afterward
Never use abrasive materials such as scourers or harsh chemical cleaners containing bleach, acidic substances, alcohol, solvents, or ammonia, as these can damage the coating, stone, or mirror over time.
You may also wish to use cleaning products that have been specially formulated for this purpose, including:
Stone: Caesarstone’s Spray Cleaner
While our timber tops have been coated with clear resin and hard wax oils for enhanced protection and durability, it is important to always wipe up any spills and avoid leaving water or other bathroom products to sit and pool for prolonged periods of time.
Water or other liquids left on any treated timber for extended periods may cause damage. This type of damage would be considered improper maintenance or neglect and is not covered by our warranty.
3. Exclusions:
This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, neglect, accidents, alterations, or natural disasters. Damage to the timber, such as swelling and cracking from leaking taps, basins, or other sources of water, is also not covered by this warranty.
Additionally, this warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, including but not limited to scratches, dents, or changes in the wood due to environmental factors.
Important: We recommend having your vanity installed by a licensed tradesperson after tiling has been completed and not tiling around the vanity, as this minimises the risk of damage during installation and helps to prevent future waterproofing issues.
Please note that our warranty does not cover any damage that occurs during installation, including but not limited to tiling around the vanity.
4. Claim Procedure:
To make a warranty claim, please contact us using the information listed at the bottom of this page. Proof of purchase will be required. We may request photographs, videos, or other documentation to assess the claim.
We cannot grant warranty claims where the vanity has not been installed by a licensed tradesperson (builder, carpenter, plumber etc.). Proof of installation will be requested at the time of any warranty claim.
5. Remedy:
If a valid warranty claim is determined, we will, at our discretion, either repair or replace the defective part or product. Any repair or replacement under this warranty will be provided without charge for materials or labor.
6. Limitation of Liability:
Our liability under this warranty is limited solely to the repair or replacement of defective parts or products, and we shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages.
7. Rights:
Under Australian Consumer Law you have rights and guarantees that cannot be limited nor excluded by us. For more information, please visit the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission’s (ACCC) website. A link has been provided here for your convenience.
By purchasing a bathroom vanity from Custom Vanity you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions of this warranty.
