Warranty

Thank you for your purchase at Custom Vanity. We stand behind the quality of our products and are committed to ensuring your satisfaction. The following warranty applies to your purchases with us. If you have any questions about this warranty, please get in touch using the contact details at the bottom of this page.

1. Structural Warranty:
We guarantee the structural integrity of your custom vanity for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship that affect the functionality or stability of the vanity, and applies to both timber and stone top vanities.

2. Coating Warranty:
From the date of purchase, we provide a 1 year warranty on the coating applied to the timber components of your custom vanity. This warranty covers any peeling, flaking, or discolouration of the coating under normal, domestic use and maintenance. That being said, if you ever encounter issues with the coating outside of the warranty period, please get in touch and we will advise on how to resolve the problem. In instances where you may need to reapply the coating (i.e., after superficial damage, stains, etc.), the process is usually simple and only requires a light sanding, followed by 2-3 coats of the coating. Further instructions would be provided upon request.

Vanity Care/Maintenance
When cleaning your vanity, especially the timber components, we recommend using warm soapy water only. Avoid using any cleaning products that contain harsh, abrasive, or acidic substances, as these may damage the coating over time. For stone top vanities, we also recommend using warm soapy water or cream-based cleaning products, such as Jif, that have been diluted with water. When cleaning, use two clean, dry microfiber cloths—one to wash and one to dry your vanity.

3. Natural Variations:
It's important to highlight that our timber vanities are built from 20mm hardwood, not laminate or veneer. Hardwood is a natural material that inherently possesses variations in colour, grain, and other characteristics. While we take great care in selecting and crafting our products, and will do our absolute best to meet your preferences, these natural variations are part of the uniqueness of hardwood and, we, therefore, cannot guarantee an exact match to any samples or reference images provided as no two pieces are the same.

4. Exclusions:
This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, neglect, accidents, alterations, or natural disasters. Damage such as swelling and cracking from leaking taps, basins, or similar sources of water is also not covered by this warranty.

Additionally, it does not cover normal wear and tear, including, but not limited to, scratches, dents, or changes in the wood due to environmental factors.

We strongly recommend installing your vanity after tiling has been completed and not tiling around the vanity, as this minimises the risk of damage during installation and helps to prevent future waterproofing issues. Please note that our warranty does not cover any damage that occurs as a result of tiling around the vanity.

5. Claim Procedure:
To make a warranty claim, please contact us using the information listed at the bottom of this page. Proof of purchase will be required. We may request photographs or other documentation to assess the claim.

6. Remedy:
If a valid warranty claim is determined, we will, at our discretion, either repair or replace the defective part or product. Any repair or replacement under this warranty will be provided without charge for materials or labor.

7. Limitation of Liability:
Our liability under this warranty is limited solely to the repair or replacement of defective parts or products, and we shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages.

8. Rights:
Under Australian Consumer Law you have rights and guarantees that cannot be limited nor excluded by us. For more information, please visit the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission’s (ACCC) website. A link has been provided here for your convenience.

By purchasing a bathroom vanity from Custom Vanity you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions of this warranty.
